The action role-playing game series created by BioWare returns with its fourth installment. Dragon Age: The Veilguard lets you embark on a new adventure in the world of Thedas. Fulfill your destiny and meet colorful characters, including Varric Tethra and Lace Harding, alongside new and returning NPCs.
Become the champions
In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you’ll embark on the journey of Rook, a hero whose story you shape entirely. Customize every aspect, from appearance and gender to class, faction, and more, to create a unique protagonist. Along the way, you’ll encounter vibrant companions eager to join your quest and confront ancient elven gods together. As with past Dragon Age titles, romantic relationships with some characters are possible, making your adventure even more thrilling.
Exciting combat
On your journey, you will explore diverse regions of Thedas, such as the Deep Roads, Rivain, Arlathan, Minrathous, and Weisshaupt. Learn new tricks and sharpen your protagonist’s abilities with every completed quest. Unlock skills and master techniques to create powerful combos, letting you survive encounters with legions of enemies. The Veilguard features a new ability wheel, allowing you to pause mid-battle to select skills and direct your companions strategically.
Release and platforms
Dragon Age: The Veilguard was initially announced as Dreadwolf in 2022. The new title was revealed in June 2024. In August, BioWare and Electronic Arts informed players that the game would come out on October 31, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
